Fireplace Supplies

Fireplace supplies are valuable both for their practical and their decorative abilities. An example of a practical fireplace supply would be a new screen. Screens have come a long way over the years, and the newest models are far more efficient at trapping heat and eliminating any ash or debris making its way into the room. Along those lines, non-flammable rugs can be purchased and placed in front of the fireplace to ensure that, just in case a spark does escape into the room, it is extinguished immediately.
 
However, in many cases, fireplace supplies are valued more for how they transform the exterior of a fireplace. Especially since many people use their fireplaces only during certain winter and autumn months, it is important that the fireplace not be a waste of space during the rest of the year. These supplies are designed to make the fireplace into a focal point year-round, regardless of whether there’s a flame burning inside or not.

Many people like to add a mirror to their fireplace, for example. This has the same function of adding a mirror to any room: it draws attention and makes the room appear larger. Often these mirrors are placed directly over the fireplace entrance.

Also under the umbrella of decorative supplies include candles. These have been a complement to fireplaces for centuries, and fireplace stores continue to sell candle arrangements designed to match the aesthetic of a particular fireplace.
